New Generation Peanut Bird Feeder, 13″ Green Review
(1) Of course, Droll Yankees doesn’t really have any inferior products. This feeder holds plenty of peanuts, and the birds definitely love it. The clingers can grab right on to the mesh, and the perchers can sit on the two perches. Squirrels will be attracted to it, but will be annoyed because it takes forever for them just to steal one peanut. I coated my peanuts with Squirrel Away hot pepper powder and have not had an issue since.
(2) Droll Yankees bird feeders are simply the best. This one works especially well. Easy to clean, easy to fill, looks nice, good-sized, so you can fill less often. Can be used with black-oil sunflower seeds, safflower seeds or shelled peanuts. The green-colored top and bottom blends well with the trees/shrubbery. Attracts a very wide variety of birds when filled with black-oil sunflower seeds. Clingers, perchers and ground feeders (eating the few dropped seeds) love it! No wasted seed, little mess! Just about squirrel-proof; they try, but it’s too hard, so they give up in short order. Even better when used with a Duncraft Create-A-Haven bird feeder cage. Holds up well; lifetime warranty. One note: While this one is made very well, it’s not quite the quality of the ones I purchased 10 years ago. However, I think it will be okay. Own 3 already and wouldn’t buy any other brand
(3) Works well so far.I have had this feeder for 4 weeks and stlii looks new!Shelled half peanuts work best.If peanuts are too finely chopped they will spill out.All metal so the fluffy guys are not chewing it,they try and it seems to be to hard for so little feed.Yeah Me!
