Bigger Than I Thought

The Big John seat makes it much easier for big men to seat themselves with more comfort and the added height makes it easier to arise after “taking care of business”. It is a much larger seat than I expected. It extends quite a bit beyond the sides of the bowl, but that’s not a problem unless your toilet is VERY close to a wall. Although the lid will stay upright without holding it, the seat itself will not and it is MUCH HEAVIER than the standard toilet seat. The installation instructions are pretty good, but the positioning of the two connectors could use a little more detailed description to distinguish right from left (as facing the seat or from the users’s seated position). The cost from Amazon was less than anywhere else I looked.

Toilet seats twist and the hinges break, not this one. It’s built like a tank. It’s a bit wider than a conventional seat, and guest’s in our house are usually surprised, but a few minutes later they leave the bathroom with a smile.
