Medline Transfer Bench with Back and Push Buttons Reviews
(1) My 89 year old mother recently had surgery for a broken hip. We got her this transfer bench which was half the price of most I had seen. She loves it. It is sturdy and well-made.
(2) I purchased this for my 82-year old mother after a painful back injury. She can sit and then swing her legs over the tub, so it made getting into the tub much less painful. It is sturdy and easy to assemble. There is no way to keep water from splashing out of the tub when you use the shower spray, but this bench does as well as any. The price was very reasonable. Home health workers said this was the best version they have used.
(3) Bath bench is easily constructed [a husband can do it], and easily installed securely in the tub. [I did measure our tub area and compare with catalog dimensions before ordering.] My only problem is that the inside leg, at its lowest adjustment, places the bench about 3 inches higher than I would like. [This height does cause a leg bend at the "safe" ninety-degree angle required for someone who has had hip replacement surgery.] Wish I could make it lower…Any suggestions?
(4) The medline transfer bench worked perfectly in my case. It was of modest cost and is sturdy. I had broken my hip joint and upper femur. While healing,to shower and keep weight off that leg, I needed the bench. I can now put weight on the leg and the incisions on my leg have healed so I can bathe or shower without the bench. For those several weeks it was most useful.
