Sunbeam Imperial Nights Polyester Cotton Blend Heated Blanket Reviews
(1) This is a great electric blanket – it has dual controls to make both users happy, a preheat button to make the bed cozy, and it shuts itself off in 10 hours if you forget, so you don’t have to worry after you leave the house. My cats love it, too!
(2) I had a previous sunbeam blanket that lasted for 20 years. I finally replaced it last year with a new electric blanket –another brand–it didn’t last the winter. Glad to have the sturdy sunbeam I just bought. It works and it is built to last.
(3) This is the third electric blanket in about four months we’ve gotten from Amazon.com.
The first one put out so much lint, we had to return it; a month after it was gone, with vacuuming and cleaning, we still found lint everywhere! Fleece Electric Blanket, Queen, Chili, Sold by: SmartBargains.
The next one, a Sunbeam, quit after a month. It would just flash FF all the time, and couldn’t be reset. Sunbeam Dynasty Retreat Queen Heated Blanket, Quilted Fleece, Raisin.
We have had this one for less than a week, and it’s been great so far!
* It’s NOT low voltage, which means when you put it to seven, it STAYS at seven. I hate it when the blanket is “smart” and thinks you should be warm enough.
* It hasn’t shed at all, not a bit.
* The fabric they have around the top and bottom is a matching color, and not satin, more of a felt cotton, which feels good against the skin.
* The controls are bit of a nuisance, as they are dark, and you’d have to have bright light to read them. Once you know what the buttons do, you don’t need to read them any more.
* The controls don’t sit flat because they aren’t heavy enough, and the electric cord is stiff.
* It has one electric cord for both controls; you plug it in near the top of the bed.
* My man usually likes a sheet on him, and complains about blankets against his skin. I hate cold sheets, myself, and like to sleep next to a smooth fee-good blanket. But this blanket he ends up with it over him as the night goes on. It DOES feel good against the skin.
* If you notice the photos I submitted to be viewed with display photos, you can see the electric wires in the blanket, and sometimes I can feel them when I pull the blanket up to my nose, but they aren’t a nuisance as they look.
I’ll update as time goes on.
