(1) I had originally bought a Mohawk shag rug at Target, and it was a rather sparse shag, but still ok for the inexpensive price. It met a horrible end in a toilet leak accident, and I had to replace it. I assumed this would be the same rug. I ordered the 5′x8′ from seller Spectrumrug, because they were much cheaper than Target. When I received it, I thought they had incorrectly listed the rug. It was not the same as the one I had before, but rather about 200 times nicer. The rug is so thick and plush, it’s like having a square of top quality carpet under my feet.
The rug I received is the rug in the picture. Some people seem to have received the same rug I got, and others who complain about color and smell seem to have gotten the one that I originally had from Target. The rug I got from Amazon is definitely tan. The one I had before is the neutral off-white color.
I don’t know what you’ll get if you order, or if SpectrumRug is selling a different rug than Target. But the rug I received is very thick, plush and a warm tan color. I’m very happy with it.
(2) Okay, now we are ready for rug #4. You would not believe the texture, the feel of these underfoot. Could not believe the quality, especially for the price. And it is a really cool neutral color. Love that soft shaggy texture.
A pet had an accident on one of the smaller of these rugs. According to a tag on the rug, it could be machine washed. Hesitantly, I must say, we laundered it. It looks even better now than it did before. If it can stand up to a Tiger Kitty with hairballs, it is one tough little rug. Did I mention we are getting ready to order more of these?
