Cuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Brew Central Coffeemaker
Strikingly retro in brushed stainless-steel with black-plastic accents, this 12-cup coffeemaker includes Cuisinart’s best brewing technology and premium features for ease and flexibility. The digital clock/timer is programmable for automatically brewing “wake-up” coffee at a selected time and for turning off the warming plate up to four hours in advance. Removing the glass carafe from the warming plate automatically pauses the brewing process for a quick pour, and the warming plate’s temperature can be adjusted. For maximum flavor, the machine can be set to brew one to four 5-ounce cups or five to twelve cups, and it includes a charcoal water filter. For convenience, a permanent Gold Tone filter eliminates messy paper filters and an indicator-light shows when decalcification is needed. The coffeemaker measures 14-1/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 10-3/4 inches deep (including carafe handle) and carries a three-year warranty against defects.
The Cuisinart automatic 12-cup coffee maker uses the same brewing system found in commercial coffeemakers so you can be assured of getting a truly satisfying cup of coffee. With its 12-cup capacity, you can bet the other 11 cups are going to be equally tasty. Cuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Brew Central Coffeemaker Reviews
(1) This coffee maker is the best coffee maker we have ever had. Everything about it! It works great, looks great, doesn’t take up too much room, and makes quite a bit of coffee! I’d recommend this to anyone who LOVES coffee!
(2) After just a few days with this coffee maker I’m extremely happy with it. Out of the box it was simple and intuitive to use-a quick glace at the instructions and I was able to find and use all of the features. Setting the clock and timer are straightforward, as are the rest of the features.
The coffee quality is great and I like the adjustable time/temp for the warming plate. I have the coffee maker out in the open so pouring water in isn’t a problem. And speaking of pouring-whoever designed the no-spill spout on the carafe should win an award.
I’ve only had it a few days but quality seems excellent. If it’s as durable as it is good looking it should last a very long time.
I highly recommend it.
(3) Been using the DCC-1200 for about 2 weeks now. I can’t believe what some people have been complaining about – this thing just works! After reading many of the reviews only 2 things concerned me – not being able to see how much water you’re putting in the reservoir (yes, I admit it, I fill it up with kitchen faucet hose) and excessive water pouring out the back when you lift the top lid. I’m happy to report that the model I received has improvements that minimize and/or eliminate these issues. Not sure if I have a new/improved model but it has bright, white, horizontal # markers on the inside of the reservoir which are very easy to see and tell exactly how much water you put in. Second, there’s a small lip on the backside of the coffeemaker so when you lift the lid (and do it quickly) most of the water flows into this lip and back into the coffeemaker. A couple of drops do make it onto the counter but hey, it’s water!, so it evaporates in a few minutes.
This does exactly what it’s supposed to do – make coffee! I like my coffee on the strong side so I’m still experimenting with it to get the perfect cup but it’s already pretty darn close. Highly recommended!!!
