What a delight it is to know that I can have hardboiled or poached eggs any time I want, with almost no effort, and no supervision. You can put your eggs in the machine when you wake up, go upstairs to shower, and never worry about it, because the machine shuts off by itself when it’s done. Hardboiled eggs are done perfectly every time. Moreover, if you want to have hardboiled eggs without the bother of taking off the shell, you can just put four eggs into the poaching tray and fill to the hardboil mark.
The eggs will come out a funny shape, but unless we’re making devilled eggs, we don’t care.
There’s only one disadvantage to this machine, and that is that you can’t just dump the whole thing into the dishwasher. Sulfer tends to be released from the eggs and stick on the machine and you have to wipe that off regularly by hand. It can get a little dirty. But that’s the worst thing I can say about this machine.
Simply put, this makes our lives easier for a very modest price. I never thought I needed an egg cooker before, but now that I have one, I’ll never go back.
