Wilton Giant Cupcake Pan

Cupcake lovers will flip over this super-sized cupcake pan from Wilton Dimensions. Designed to create one giant confection with a sculptural top and bottom, the piece turns out a 3D cupcake that measures approximately 7-1/4 by 7-1/2 inches. The concept is simple–bake the top and bottom halves in the same pan, stick them together with icing, and decorate according to the occasion. Ridges around the bottom of the cupcake and a swirl on the top add to the finished treat’s appeal and make frosting fun. Crafted from heavy-gauge cast aluminum, the pan also features a nonstick surface to simplify release and cleanup. A winning novelty gift for the frequent baker, the piece holds 10 cups of batter total and measures 15-1/2 by 8-1/4 by 3-3/4 inches.

Creates a big 3-D cupcake for the whole party to share! Assemble top and bottom cake halves with a thin layer of icing. Professional weight, cast aluminum for exceptional detail. Premium non-stick surface for easy release and cleanup.

Wilton Giant Cupcake Pan Review

(1) just made the giant cupcake for my daughters bday. she loved it and she is almost fifty years old.
be careful not to over fill the pan with batter. i put to much on botton part and had a hard ridge that had to be cut off. i kept the frosting very simple. frosted the botton with chocolate frosting also used chocolate to hold top and botton together. do the bottom before setting top on bottom. then i used white frosting with sprinkles for the top. used the white, because my experience shows sprinkles do not show well in choco.

i used two cakes mixes. got cupcake and a dozen reg. cupcakes from the batter

i sprayed pan with pam and it just feel out of pan. it was simple to do. gonna get a bit fancy with the decorations on the next one

(2) I greased and floured the pan, as I would have with any cake I’ve ever made, and it came out with no problems. I suspect those that had problems didn’t grease + flour, or just didn’t do it well. 2 boxed cake mixes made the giant cupcake and 20+ regular-sized cupcakes. I filled both sides ~ 2/3 full per the instructions that came with the cake, and as with normal cupcakes, it rose during baking and I ended up cutting off quite a bit of cake to make both sides flat. In fact, the bottom domed-up and looked so much like a large regular cupcake I wondered whether I needed to use the top cake at all… I had no problems with overbaking although I cooked both sided for the same amount of time, both came out perfectly.
