World Cuisine Tri-Blade Plastic Spiral Vegetable Slicer Review
(1) I’ve wanted this little tool for a while and I am so glad I finally got it. Being in a 70% raw diet I get tired of the same old salads and veggies. This little tool brings spark to everything. It also makes my life a breeze when making raw veggie lasagna. Make sure to get the 3 blades one!
(2) I eat a mostly plant based diet and would be lost without this slicer…. My favorite use for it is zucchini spaghetti…. Two zucchini make a large bowl of pasta. I then put sun dried tomatoes and fresh tomatoes in the vita mix with olive oil, basil and garlic….blend and pour over the pasta… I usually warm it to about 110 degrees and serve with a salad that is beautifully sliced with my slicer…. If you are not vegan, you can top your pasta with parmasan or use vegan parmasan if you are like me…. Love it!!!
(3) We’re both on low-carb diets, and we’ve been using this slicer to make spaghetti out of various squashes (yellow squash is great for this, as is zucchini) instead of going with higher carb traditional pasta. I’ve used this for salads as well, adding zucchini, salad turnips and beets to what was otherwise a relatively drab salad. It’s really quite incredible, very easy to use and to clean.
I can’t recommend this enough. It takes what seems like a small amount of food (one small squash) and turns it into a fairly large-sized meal. Even though it’s functionally the same amount of food, the psychology of having the food cut into small ribbons works extremely well for reducing portion size.
