Sluggo Snail and Slug Bait Review

(1) his is the BEST stuff ! Cake to apply, and, it works wonders !
We used to ‘hunt’ slugs at night to try and get them under control, it was awful ! We could get 100 slugs a night, every single night. We knew there had to be an easier way… and, SLUGGO was it ! Once we applied this, within a week, we saw no more slugs ! It was 5 or 6 months later that we saw another one, so, we reapplied, and never saw another one ’til the following late spring. So, in short, we apply twice a year now, and we have no slugs at all ! This is SAFE for pets too !

(2) Iron phosphate is a mineral that occurs naturally in the soil, and it’s perfectly safe for pets and wildlife. If you’re feeding the birds, you should not be using that other product. Some birds eat slugs, and you might as well be putting out a poison buffet.

Use Sluggo (or any other product made with iron phosphate) instead. It’s easy to use – just sprinkle the pellets around any areas with slug problems and your problems will be gone in a day. The slugs eat the pellets, immediately cease feeding and crawl off to die. When the pellets disappear, you can sprinkle more as needed. But usually, one treatment does the trick for awhile.

Other organic methods of slug control, particularly pans of beer, really did nothing but attract the slugs to the garden. A few got drunk and drowned, but many more did not. This stuff will shut them down on the spot…without hazard to the other critters and insects.

Sluggo has a new product, Sluggo Plus, which has Spinosad added to it. I may try that when I set my baby seedlings out, just in case the pillbugs decide to have a snack. Normally, pillbugs are a good addition to my compost pile, but they can wreck new seedlings.
